Kek Lok Si temple is located in Air Itam, Penang. This massive structure is said to be one of the biggest temples for the Buddhists community in Malaysia. It attracts Buddhists from all walks of life and from all around the world including, Singapore, Hong Kong, South East Asia and Philippines. The whole complex was built from the year 1890 to 1930, an initiative taken by the Abbot, Beow Lean. The main attraction in the temple is the Rama VI Pagoda of seven storeys accompanying 10,000 bronze and alabaster Buddha statues. You got to visit this magnificent temple when you are here!
Khoo Kongsi Temple is a huge clan house, believed to be one of the grandest temple clan of the country. The elaborated, flawless design with ornamented architecture, makes the temple a true beauty. The temple signifies good luck and prosperity and worshippers love to visit this temple to seek blessings.
Not the normal temple that you will expect, Penang Snake Temple is home to many vipers. Experience something like no other… this temple is sure to amuse you! Snake lovers can even get their pictures taken with these venomous creatures. But you don’t need to worry about them being posisonous as their fangs have already been removed, so they are harmless.
